SUMMARY
Responsible for assuring the cleaning in all areas of CTCLUSI by assigning or performing routine cleaning of clinic rooms, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors.
Demonstrate ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Assigns tasks to staff in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of CTCLUSI.
This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a fast paced and critical environment at CTCLUSI.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of the janitorial staff, ensuring efficient and effective coordination of cleaning services with CTCLUSI offices.
Develop and manage the department budget, including forecasting and allocating resources for cleaning supplies and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels and procurement processes to maintain adequate stock levels.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the CTCLUSI premises, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Implement and oversee quality control measures to uphold the CTCLUSI sanitation standards.
Plan and execute cleaning schedules for the different areas of CTCLUSI, including clinical rooms, behavioral rooms, waiting areas, offices, and administrative spaces.
Coordinate with maintenance staff for repairs and upkeep of janitorial equipment.
Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to sanitation, waste management and environmental safety.
Ensure the department’s compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
Foster effective communication with other departments to address cleaning needs and maintain a safe and sanitized environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Collaborate with facility management and administration to address any specific requirements.
Address and resolve any issues related to cleanliness, sanitation, or equipment malfunction in a timely and effective manner.
Implement preventive measures to minimize potential risk and maintain a hygienic environment.
Ensure adherence to CTCLUSI policies and safety procedures.
Ensure the SDS manual is maintained and current for all types of products used by staff.
Monitor and analyze departmental performance, preparing regular reports on key metrics such as cleanliness levels, equipment maintenance, and budget utilization.
Present findings to upper management as necessary.
Be familiar with the staff janitorial job description, duties, and responsibilities.
Suggest changes to job description as necessary.
Adhere to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
Complete annual education requirements.
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Report to work on time and as scheduled.
Wear identification while on duty.
Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations.
Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.
Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of the organization.
Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
Attend regular staff meetings and in-services.

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT Working irregular hours including call hours Exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation.

Must possess valid driver’s license, adequate transportation, and eligibility to operate GSA vehicles.
