Food forest potential, potential for 2 bedrooms, lots of green growth for privacy, potential Bay view.
In sunny, charming Glasgow.
View chickens and deer nearby.
Current plan, separated at laundry room reduced to $1170 rent, potential for private 2 bedrooms and 1.
25 bathrooms eventually, at $1530.
We will keep the garage for storage until we no longer need storage, which will probably be a long time, lol.
Totally private indoor space after we leave or after we add a locking door and divider or after we are ready to vacate the smaller bedroom.
We already have a door.
We are not quite ready to give up the 2nd smaller bedroom yet, but getting closer.
If you are a creative and/or talented type there is a lot of potential.
This is not a w ork t r a d e.
I will pay for agreed to improvements.
I haven't measured the dimensions for sq footage.
It may be more, you're welcome to measure.
My guesstimate is it's quite a bit more than 800 sq ft.
Beginnings of a Food Forest, with fruit trees, berries, bay tree, bamboo.
Amazing hydrangea and rhododendrons and green growth almost everywhere creating high levels of privacy.
There are huge laurel hedge gone to trees.
It would be fun to cut an arch to restore the amazing bay view, but other trees closer to the bay might block, but I doubt it.
Unfortunately the Laurel berries are not good for children nor adults and probably not good for dogs or cats, and they do fall down at the deck and driveway path and some of the Garden area.
"Laurel hedging is also toxic – including berries, leaves and stems – and particularly wilted or fallen leaves".
.
.
We are quite open to giving people the opportunity to do repairs and improvements themselves and earn some money back from us, with everything agreed to in detail in advance in email.
We are very busy and this will probably continue for a while.
so we aren't fast at reaching agreements at times, but we do make steady progress over time.
Also, with people that are good at working with us, we can often make quite rapid wonderful progress with them taking the lead and we appreciate that.
After 4 months of being a good tenant and neighbor, rent may be discounted $50.
per month.
This will be part of the rental agreement.
Also, after 12 months of being a good neighbor and good tenant I will credit you $200 added to your 100% refundable security deposit when you are ready to move if you show the place for at least 2 weeks before you leave and also cooperate with folks viewing the outside starting 2 weeks before the interior viewings.
If you have non excellent credit or some higher risk history or circumstances, I usually want double the rent amount, or more, for a FULLY refundable security deposit.
Clear and efficient and thorough communication is really important to me.
(I have a lot of time pressure.
.
.
so I need to be as efficient as possible and I use email mainly, text for brief simple stuff, and phone only as needed.
I realize you probably have time pressure too and I respect that.
) Even though the home could use work, I still want a solid deposit if you don't have good or excellent credit.
Also, if you really want to speed things up please request a rental application and a credit report being available would help, even a CreditKarma type approximate score and report will help initially.
We probably will be working elsewhere most times and nearby at times.
When we're nearby we can help some with progress if you need or want that.
Eventually I hope to increase efficiency and help encourage/support very green earth friendly living, but lots on the urgent to do list currently.
Let me know if you are interested in creating/ expanding the mini Food Forest.
Also, if you have a dog I will want you to provide proof of renters insurance without a dog exclusion before you get the key/s, around $230 per year, but I believe it can be paid monthly with at least one insurance agent I know of who is great.
I am happy to give you her contact info.
I will also want me or my representative to meet your dog/s.
Apologies for duplication and of course just read what you want to.
The house has some awesome features and some unusual stuff we can discuss.
Parts of it are NOT remodeled to modern standards, but there are lots of things I and others really appreciate.
Lots of cleaning has been done but lots still remains at this time.
If you decide you want to apply, and you give solid proof of excellent credit, I sometimes do not insist on doing a tenant screening.
I get charged ~$17.
50 per adult plus $7 per additional last name for adults.
I pass the exact costs on to the applicant.
Please email with all adults approximate credit scores, list of all pets, dogs weights and breeds, and eventually if you want an application, your real email address typed into the message, and your phone number.
If the ad is still up the space is still available : ) I realize that phone calls are great at times, but I really try to do as much as possible by email.
If YOU REALLY NEED AN INITIAL CALL please say that, but I might not get to you for quite a while, or ever.
.
.
nothing personal just too much to do for too long.
More plants are welcome, we just need to agree on placement in writing over email to reduce fire risks.
If you'd like some furniture but not all let me know and we'll discuss.
Please have references and a copy of your credit report available if you are interested in a speedy approval or I can give some limited info on how to get a free credit report.
Smoking outdoors only and no drift inside, if there is significant drift, smoking will not be allowed anywhere on the property, and of course neighbors are important.
There's a compost/ hugelkulture pile and a compost bucket for worms but I haven’t added any worms yet and I haven't seen any so far, lol.
We are open to rent to own but only starting to think about it after a year of excellent tenancy.
It is also possible my family will want to keep the property for many years or at least part of it for many years.
Some of the windows may be drafty.
There's no high speed ev charger.
I haven't looked at connection opportunities yet.
Regarding wheelchair accessibility there is a small lip at the driveway door.
We used a wheelchair with my mom.
I remember it being difficult to get her inside the house.
I think the gate was wide enough.
The entry door is 36 inches wide and our wheelchair didn't fit through fully widened.
All the best to you!
