2001 VW Golf TDI - $3,000 (Bandon)

2001 Golf TDI - 5 Speed Manual.
Runs and drives phenomenally.
Shows signs of being a 20 year old car.
The good: - 40-45 mpg - Recent timing belt - Newer tires - Newer brakes all around - New windshield - Mechanically solid - Kerma Tune The bad: - Higher mileage.
Engine/trans are solid but the body has its own creaks and groans - Rust on both rocker panels.
Subframe was replaced prior to my ownership ( Previous life on the east coast ) - ABS light is on The ugly: - Rear bumper pops out on the passenger side - Headliner sags in the rear and is sort of dirty - Straight piped, but it’s not too loud when driving.
Sort of loud when stopped Overall this is a solid car with many miles left in it.
Cheap to drive and should not need anything beyond regular maintenance to keep it going for a long time.
