I am selling my 1961 Ford F100 unibody pickup.
These unibody Fords are very unique trucks, with the bed and cab all being one continuous piece, and Ford only made them for three model years (61-63).
They weren’t very popular at the time, so there’s not many around today.
I got this one in 2019 and have been working on restoring it, but life is busy and I recently ended up with another truck, so I have decided to try selling this one.
I’ll get into the details of what’s been done and what the truck comes with below, but to summarize, the truck is basically complete mechanically, and runs and drives.
Cosmetically, it’s been sandblasted and primed and just needs some light body work and paint.
Comes with almost all interior and exterior parts necessary to complete the restoration.
If you have any questions at all or if you’d like to see the truck, let me know.
$8500.
Also, depending where you are located, and being that it's wintertime and rainy, I am willing to discuss potential delivery in an enclosed car hauler, potentially at my expense depending on distance and final sale price.
I’ve attached a bunch of pictures that show the truck and most of the stuff it comes with.
Also, while there’s not a way to attach them to the ad, I kept receipts for all the parts and work done on the truck that I’ll give to the buyer, and that you can look at if you come to see the truck.
Here are some details: Engine/Transmission: The truck would have originally had a Ford inline 6 cylinder engine with a column-shift manual transmission.
When I bought it, someone had removed all that and there was a non-op 302 and an automatic transmission in it.
I installed a Ford 351 Windsor V8 engine with a Ford 3-speed manual transmission, and sourced all the necessary parts to restore the truck to manual “3-on-the-tree” column-shift (no one remanufactures those linkages and whatnot, and finding old-stock parts was a JOB).
Dual exhaust custom-built.
Body/Paint: When I got the truck it had an ugly, peeling-off aftermarket paint job.
I cleaned and painted the undercarriage and engine compartment, and I recently had Eveland Sandblasting & Paint sandblast and prime the whole exterior and bed.
It’s been stored under cover, or in my shop, ever since it came back from Eveland’s.
The body is incredibly straight and needs very little dent-related work.
It does need some rust repair in a few areas, but as you can see in the pictures, the metal is in great shape overall for its age.
And since it is clean and sandblasted, with NO body filler, you can see exactly what needs to be done before you buy it and won’t have any surprises.
For a truck of this age, the amount of body work that needs to be done is VERY minimal.
Glass: I have a brand new replacement windshield from LMC Truck.
All the other glass (side windows, wing windows, back window) is original and in excellent condition.
Comes with all-new seals for all the windows and doors (with the possible exception of the wing windows - I’m not sure I got around to buying new rubber for those).
Interior: Essentially all interior parts are included and are either brand-new or original parts in good condition.
Needs a stereo and maybe replacement kick-panel air vents.
Comes with brand new molded carpet from LMC.
Brand new gas tank behind the seat.
Brand new headliner kit.
Exterior: Brand new chrome mirrors, door handles, and V8 hood emblem.
Brand new chrome front and rear bumpers.
All these parts are from LMC and are extremely high quality, thick metal with beautiful chrome.
Wheels: New wheels painted in Corinthian White with new, accurate chrome hubcaps from LMC.
The tires are new as well with maybe 20-30 miles on them.
This is a great project that has just about everything you need to finish it.
Let me know if you’d like to take a look at it.
