Job Description : Full Stack Developer
Location: Rockville, MD (100% REMOTE but need a local candidate)
The main function of a Full Stack Developer is to design, develop, and implement web-based Java applications with complex backend system to support business requirements.
NEED a really strong backend (more BE & FE)
Can be lighter on UI/FE
Needs Core Java
AWS EC1/EC2, RDS - writing algorithms
Migration project from 20yr old app (15+ FE screens need to be migrated)
Migrating into existing MRP infrastructure (AWS EC2 – using Scala, Spark, Python, SQL, etc.
)
NEED someone who takes initiative – cannot slack, if done with a task, needs to ask and get more work.
Hire fast on 6-month contracts but will fire fast too if they don’t perform.
Job Description:
• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications.
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts.
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a multi-tier Web and Java solution.
• Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area.
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment.
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner.
• Mentor Junior resources on the team.
Required Technical Skills & Knowledge
· Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
· 5-7 years of experience required on Web based solutions with Java backend services.
· Java/J2EE development experience is required.
· Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large scale, Java/J2EE projects from end-to-end.
· Hands on experience with Web UI using jQuery, JavaScript, Angular JS or GWT.
· Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC.
· Extensive knowledge and application of Java best practices along with experience with application servers and database servers.
· Experience in implementing design patterns and ability to adapt to changing patterns quickly.
· Independent and motivated to manage and deliver projects
