Position Summary
MultiCare’s Information Technology (IT) Intern Program gives college students the opportunity to become highly valued IT professionals through on-the-job training.
In addition to performing meaningful work, this position provides growth through mentor relationships and focused developmental activities.
This Internship is a paid position.
Pay rates vary based on level of education and/or prior experience.
MultiCare won the prestigious HIMSS Davies National Award in 2009 based on its leadership in the use of healthcare information technology and is currently in the top 2% of all healthcare systems nationwide (Level 6) in electronic medical record implementation.
Incumbents will join a cutting-edge healthcare IT function with over 200 employees responsible for a broad range of technologies including EPIC, SQL Server, .
Net, C#, HL7.
This internship program is small, allowing for a tailored experience to both our emerging needs and the incumbents’ areas of interest.
Requirements
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with minimum junior standing or recently completed an Associate’s degree and planning to enroll in a Bachelor’s program
Must be enrolled in an Information Technology, Clinical Informatics or related major
Must have at least one quarter/semester remaining after completion of internship (Students with an Associate’s Degree may complete their internship before beginning a Bachelor’s Degree program)
Strong preference given to students with a cumulative overall GPA of at least 3.

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off.
As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position.
