*Position Highlights* The Douglas County Circuit Court in Roseburg, Oregon, is hiring a *Judicial Support Supervisor *(Supervisor 3).
In this role… You will be supervising judicial staff.
You will promote public awareness and education about the court system, ensure the integrity of the system through compliance of laws, rules, and policies, and facilitate coordination of the court’s functions to help move people’s cases through the court system.
Supervising and training will be an important part of your day: you will assign, monitor, review, and evaluate the work of subordinate employees.
You will prepare and conduct performance reviews and are responsible for disciplinary action.
You will provide backup for and coordinate the work of team leads, orientation plans for new employees, and ongoing training for all staff.
You will take part of all phases of recruiting, from formulating and updating position descriptions to screening and hiring.
It will be your responsibility to consult with lead workers regarding the status of ongoing projects and disseminate information about changes in policy, procedure, and law.
You will also communicate with the public, attorneys, state agencies and businesses to resolve issues and develop court programs.
You will prepare data reports to aid with case management, and research opportunities for improving case management based on your findings.
Lastly, you will attend management team meetings, be a member of various committees, and liaise between court and agencies.
Your role will be to review and evaluate budget, staffing, policies and procedures and make recommendations.

)* The qualified candidate must have at least five (5) years of progressively responsible supervisory or staff-support experience.
Qualifying OJD experience would be at the Court Operations Associate or above.
*NOTE*: Your recent experience must reflect staff support or supervision, directly or through lead workers, staff performing a wide variety of clerical, analytical, and technical support duties.
The supervisory experience must include most, or all, of the following: * special projects, * developing and updating policies and procedures, * hiring or recommending hiring, * training, * assigning and reviewing work, * evaluation performance, * responding to staff concerns, and * handling disciplinary actions.
*AND* Possession of an associate’s degree in business, management, social or behavioral science, or a related field.
*OR* Any combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
*NOTE*: A bachelor’s degree in court administration, management, business, public administration, behavioral or social/human services or a closely related field may be substituted for up to four (4) years of the required experience.

This position _is not_ eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.
