Directs workflow and provides leadership for the reservations staff on an assigned shift.
Assists the Front Office Supervisor in coordinating the activities of the front desk, reservations, guest services, housekeeping and other departments in the resort when necessary.
Duties include but are not limited to: Upholds the resorts commitment to exceptional guest service.
Performs all the duties and responsibilities of the reservation agent/resort operator.
Follows shift start procedures, by signing in, reading and initialing logbook, posted memos, meeting minutes, etc.
Prints and reads required reports.
Maintains accurate and pertinent logbook entries throughout each assigned shift.
Demonstrates working relationship and communication skills conducive to a professional and friendly work environment with all departments.
Responsible for monitoring calls for quality and adhering to the reservations script.
Resolves and/ or refers to management all guests' requests, concerns, complaints, and suggestions quickly, efficiently and courteously in a continuous effort to provide exceptional guest service.
Communicates information to the Front Office Supervisor and Hotel Management.
Assists in the training and retraining of all reservation staff.
Assists in the performance evaluation of reservation staff.
Knowledgeable of safety and emergency procedures and how to act upon them.
Follows proper procedure for noise/disturbance complaints.
Understands Players Club and encourages all guests to utilize this service.
Remains current on all promotions and special events within the hotel and resort.
Attends and positively contributes to all regularly scheduled meetings of the front office and reservations staff.
Encourages and demonstrates positive morale characteristics for all front office and reservation staff.
Adheres to all department and resort policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
Performs and assists with other duties and responsibilities set forth by the Front Office Manager, Rooms Division Manager, and Hotel Director.
Provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the department.
Maintains confidential information that is received in verbal, written, and electronic media.
Limits access to information on a job-related, need-to-know basis.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
1 year of experience in a hotel/reservation department required.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Strong clerical and administrative experience.
Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
Exhibit strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Analytical/mathematics skills essential.
Able to read and comprehend written instructions.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks at once.
21 years of age or older.
Must be able to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
