Early Intervention / Early Childhood Special Education Director – Jackson EI/ECSE
Douglas ESD is seeking qualified applicants for the position ofEarly Intervention / Early Childhood Special Education (EI/ECSE) Director.
This is a full-time position located in Medford, OR working 230 days per year, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.

JOB SUMMARY: The Director provides leadership, supervision, guidance, and support to programs at multiple sites serving Jackson County.
DUTIES:

Lead and oversee multiple programs within the EI/ECSE programs.
Directly supervise, evaluate, and support program administrators, licensed and classified staff across multiple teams for quality performance.
Lead teams to ensure coordination and collaboration efforts across sites and locations to ensure consistency.
Lead cross-department projects to deliver services.
Oversee all aspects of the budget for supervised programs to ensure fiscal integrity and alignment with the ESD strategic goals and priorities.
Oversees and is responsible for grant-funded programs, including reporting requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills evidencing the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of constituents with a focus on solving conflict without blame and managing difficult or emotional parent/community situations judiciously.
Participates as a member of the ESD Administration team.
Works to create a collaborative and innovative culture for all students and staff and throughout the community.
Observe instructional activities in classrooms and/or itinerant staff.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to and from school locations in the Douglas ESD service area and may be required to travel on overnight assignments.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree in education, leadership, or related field; or combination of education and/or equivalent training and/or professional experience.
Must have the ability to possess the Oregon Department of Education EI/ECSE Supervisor Authorization or a valid Oregon Administrative License required or the ability to obtain one.
Minimum of 3 (three) years successful experience managing people, programs, and services in the field of education.
Early intervention and/or childhood special education experience preferred.
Expert demonstration and knowledge in several or all areas of the position.
