*Position Overview:*
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Financial Clearance to join our dynamic team at a great hospital in Coos Bay, OR.
The successful candidate will oversee the financial clearance processes, ensuring compliance with relevant hospital policies, practices, and HIPAA regulations.
They will lead a team responsible for patient registration, billing, and revenue cycle technologies, optimizing processes to maximize revenue and minimize write-offs.
*Responsibilities:*
* Oversee and manage financial clearance processes, ensuring adherence to hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and governmental requirements.
* Lead and mentor a team responsible for patient registration, billing, and revenue cycle technologies.
* Utilize knowledge of third-party payer rules, ICD-10 and CPT coding, and medical terminology to optimize revenue capture and minimize denials.
* Collaborate with various departments to implement appropriate countermeasures and resolve issues related to financial clearance processes.
* Analyze revenue write-off data, identify trends and opportunities, and present findings to diverse audiences.
* Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the department, promoting teamwork and professional development.
*Requirements:*
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health, or related field required.
* 2 to 5 years of experience with computerized hospital, clinical, and financial systems required.
* Experience with Pre-Registration and Prior Authorization activities required.
* 5 to 7 years of supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting or related field required.
* Proven experience in team/culture building for a large department required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, or other spreadsheet and/or word processing software required.
*Salary and Benefits:*
* Salary range: $68,790 - $87,000 annually.
* 8-hour day shift.
