JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to checking in merchandise with vendors, verify invoice accuracy for quantity and pricing.
Resolve price discrepancy issues between vendor invoices and company invoices.
Ordering and filling the dairy case with milk, margarine, and stock beer, soda, and other grocery deli items.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must pass required background check.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Checks in vendors, verifies invoice accuracy for quantity and pricing
• Resolves price discrepancy issues between vendor invoices and company pricing
• Responsible for keeping the back room clean and organized
• Responsible for ordering and filling the dairy and grocery deli sections
• Responsible for reclamation and tracking known loss
• Handles weekly paperwork pertaining to grocery department purchase margins
• Handles inter-store transfer paperwork
• Use a box knife, hand truck, six-wheeler, and/or pallet jack.
• Lift and handle bulky materials and products
• Strong 10 key ability
• Ability to stay focused and on task
• Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
• Follow all policies and procedures for maintaining proper inventory levels
• Basic math skills
• Comply with all safety guidelines and procedures
• Excellent Customer Service skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described below are those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions for this job:
• Work in a standing position for up to 8 hours a day
• Use hands, arms, and fingers to handle tools or operate power equipment
• Lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
• Carry up to 10 pounds on a regular basis for 50’ and up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis for 10 feet.
• Push or pull 50 to 100 pounds for 50 feet.
• Occasionally required to reach above the shoulders
• Stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl
• May be required to use ladders and/or stairs
WORK ENVIRONMENT: May encounter certain work environment characteristics while performing the essential functions of this position.
They may include but are not limited to:
• Extreme cold, wet, or humid conditions (coolers, freezers, etc.
)
• Slippery surfaces
• Confined spaces
• High noise level
